Photo Courtesy - Getty Images for MTV(LOS ANGELES) – Sacha Baron Cohen, star of the popular and controversial movies Borat and Brüno, will be returning to the big screen in a starring role in 2012. Cohen’s new movie, The Dictator, is an adaptation of Zabibah and The King, a ghost written book published in 2000 about a dictator and his people.

The film will be released by Paramount Pictures, which says the movie is "the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed." Larry Charles, who directed both Borat and Brüno, will direct this movie as well.

Cohen, 39, received much criticism for Borat, which parodied local townspeople in Kazakhstan without them realizing they were in a movie.

Paramount has set an expected release date of May 2012.

Photo Courtesy - FilmMagic/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Musician Eric Benet, who spent six years as Mr. Halle Berry, has announced that he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Manuela Testolini.

People magazine reports that Benet proposed to Testolini, who he has been dating for three years, in November with an antique diamond ring that the singer designed himself.

"During a romantic dinner I decided to finally let Manuela hear 'Never Want to Live Without You,' a song off my new album that I had written for her," Benet told People. "I sang it to her, then got down on one knee and proposed."

Testolini, who was married to musician Prince for five years until she filed a petition to end their marriage in 2006, is an entrepreneur and the founder of In A Perfect World, a charity that empowers children to become responsible leaders.

Benet, 44, is a Grammy-nominated musical artist who found his greatest success when he teamed with singer Tamia on "Spend My Life With You," which spent three weeks at the top of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Benet's marriage to Oscar-winner Berry came to a very public end in 2003 after the singer reportedly cheated on her. He has an 18-year-old daughter, India, from a previous marriage.

The couple, who plan to wed in the summer, are currently celebrating their engagement in Egypt, according to People.

Photo Courtesy - ABC News(NEW YORK) -- MTV's hit reality series Jersey Shore broke another viewing record this week.

The show, which depicts the drama and debauchery of a group of young people vacationing in Seaside Heights, N.J., had a reported 8.9 million viewers Thursday. Jersey Shore's ratings had almost twice as many 18- to 49-year-old viewers as CBS's successful show The Mentalist, according to The New York Times. The 18-49 age bracket is considered valuable to advertisers.

The Mentalist actually attracted 5.9 million more people than Jersey Shore Thursday night, making MTV's achievement all the more remarkable.

These most recent numbers break Jersey Shore's record set last week by 300,000 people.

Justin Bieber Producer Working to 'Segue' Him to 'Young Adulthood'

Photo Courtesy - Island Def Jam(TAMPA, Fla.) -- When Justin Bieber's next album comes out, you're going to witness an artistic growth of Justin Timberlake-sized proportions.  That's according to producer/songwriter Sean Garrett, who tells Billboard that he's been working "feverishly" on Justin's follow-up to My World 2.0

Garrett, who was behind hits like Usher's "Yeah!," Beyonce's "Ring the Alarm" and Chris Brown's "Run It," says, "What we're trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood," adding, "We want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued...but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well."

Garret compares the transition to the one that Justin Timberlake made when he went from 'N Sync's last album to his first solo record.

No word on when the new album will be out.

Ricky Gervais: 'I Didn't Do Anything Wrong'

File photo. Photo Courtesy - Meghan Sinclair/Team Coco(NEW YORK) -- Is anything off limits for Ricky Gervais? It's the question on the minds of many Americans after the comedian's riotous second stint hosting the Golden Globes.

During Sunday's ceremony, he insulted nearly every actor in attendance, as well as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that hired him for the gig. He likened the women of Sex and the City to airbrushed androids, brought up Robert Downey Jr.'s bad times, and introduced Bruce Willis as Ashton Kutcher's father.

"They hired me for the job, and if they didn't want me, they shouldn't have hired me," he said in an interview that aired Thursday on Piers Morgan Tonight. "I don't think I did anything wrong.”

ABC News asked Gervais' representatives if there's a line he won't cross; the inquiry wasn't immediately answered. But judging from his material and past interviews, the answer is no.
